Jacklyn is our professional animal trainer. She has been training animals since 2005! She has learned all she knows from experience working with different species of animals, working as a trainer for other businesses, training thousands of exotic animals successfully, self-education, working with the professionals and even from school! Jacklyn chooses to use the force-free training methods that all of the credible professionals use. These types of training methods have shown to have the best and longest lasting results with any species of animal. Using her expertise she plans to make a difference in the world of interacting with our pets!

“In order to obtain an animals trust, there is a need to understand animals in a more intimate way. Knowing what they feel by the way they move and even the energy they are giving off. Animal training is something that flourishes with daily practice. There is more to it than pointing a finger and asking an animal to preform for you. The real magical moments are where an animal understands what you are asking and actually enjoys to play out that command for you. There is a connection there. Love plays a part in it, patience and understanding, but you’re only going at the pace of the relationship you build with the animal you’re working with. There are endless factors that play a roll in it, but building that connection and communication are the most important parts of animal training. Some of the best understandings that humans have of animals, comes from our ability to communicate and connect with them. This takes time and patience. You must experience many different animals and spend hours training them to truly understand what takes to be a great trainer. Years of experience working in the animal world and dedication to researching training methods, are just two of the many things I have to share with you. My life goal is to help animals everywhere and there owners, live easier together.”

Today there are no regulations or licensing for someone wanting to be an animal trainer. Because of this, the animal training field has become so diverse, it allows for hundreds of different ways to train an animal. The way we choose to train is with force-free training methods. With force-free training methods your pets will do as you ask while they are having the time of their lives! These force-free methods have shown to form the best communication so your pets understand what your asking, and it is designed to be fun form them. Since it is fun, they just cannot wait to preform commands for you. This type of training creates a very wonderful bond with you and your pets that allows you to both be happier with the relationship. FREE Pet Care Advice: There is so much work that goes into the care of animals. Depending on the type of animal you have or want in your home, the care necessary is more tedious than you might believe! Weather you have a pet, or are thinking about getting one, the very first thing you should do is RESEARCH! You can never look up enough information about an animal you are thinking to get or might already own (EVERY PET! Even cats and dogs!). Knowing more about your animals will allow you to give them the best life possible. Training: Our main focus here for helping animals, is training them. Perhaps it is one of the most UNDERRATED ways to enrich your animal’s lives! By training your animals you; keep them out of trouble, make sure they only chew on safe chew toys, avoid unwanted behaviors, allow them to be handled daily or during emergencies and check ups, build better communication and connection with them, satisfy natural urges they have, create mental stimulation for a happier animal overall. Engaging in training activities allows you to have more control of your pets. It helps with situations that might be life threatening or even when providing them with physical inspections and routine care. This is just some of what training can do for you and your pets. It is safe to say that training will allow you to have a much happier and healthier pet! To help animals have the best lives we can possibly give them, Jacklyn helps train all of our rescues and the pets that come just for training. Rescue: We rescues animals! Pets ONLY. If you have a wild animal in need, please contact your local wildlife center. We take in any pets in need so long as we have a safe and open space for them. We can especially take in dogs, birds, foxes, some reptiles, and do accept other exotic pets. We do not judge or discourage anyone for making the decision to surrender their pets. A pet coming to the rescue is handled by Jacklyn first. She takes them to a veterinarian for a full check up and then converts them to a vet-recommended healthy diet. Jacklyn trains and cares for them daily and so that they will stay physically and mentally healthy. Plus this makes them very handle-able and ready for their new homes! Jacklyn does this voluntarily because she loves these animals.
